SQL
sql(<sql>) is not a standalone statement — it's an expression that other commands accept as an argument wherever a SQL query is needed: Show SQL, Create Table From SQL, Create Table From Database SQL, Assert SQL Count, and Export Result.
Run on its own, sql(<sql>) parses the query but does not execute it — like the rest of the Magpie DSL, evaluation is deferred until something forces it, such as a show statement reading from the special result table. See Exploring Data for the deferred-execution model.
Syntax
sql(<sql>)
Parameters
sql
String — SQL query to execute.
