Create File

Register a file in the Magpie MDR as a metadata object. The command creates the file's metadata, then prompts you to upload its content from your local machine.

Once a file exists in the MDR it can be associated with a cluster, which places or installs it when the cluster starts. See Downloading Files onto Clusters for the whole flow.

Syntax​

create file <file spec>

Parameters​

file spec​

JSON — A specification for the file to create, containing only the metadata, not the content. Running the command prompts you to upload the content.
